North Ayrshire Money Matters

													

Money Matters provides advice to any resident of North Ayrshire on welfare rights, assistance or representation in relation to benefits.

We help health and social care service users and vulnerable people who are facing difficulties with their benefits or tax credits, and particularly:

• People with long term health conditions

• People with cancer

• Parents of disabled children

• Carers

• Kinship carers

• Single people and families in work and on low incomes

• People out of work

• People facing redundancy

We can

• Carry out benefit checks

• Make claims for backdated benefits

• Start new claims for benefits

• Help you to complete complex forms

• Provide appeal representation (where possible)

• Give advice on benefit sanctions

• Provide training

• Appeal Benefits Decision

• Help with sanctions

Macmillan benefit service

We can help people affected by cancer with:

• Applying for benefits and tax credits

• Appeals against benefit decisions

• Fuel costs

• Access to charitable grants

• Costs such as travel to hospital

• Transport concessions (e.g. Blue Badge)

• Advice about debt problems
